After three years of effort working to bring Rocky Horror to a theater in West Virginia, on the last Friday of July 2006, David Driskell received the email he had been waiting to get for years: Rocky Horror would be playing at the Cinema Theatre in Huntington, WV. However, the last line of the e-mail made him cringe... he had SEVEN days to put a show together!

There was no organized cast for the first couple of months, other than "old-school" style random people getting up and doing scenes.

The cast of DownHome Decadence officially started performing on October 6, 2006. Since that inaugural night, the cast of DownHome Decadence prides themselves with being one of the most innovative new casts in the Rocky Horror community.

Having only been around for a few months, DownHome Decadence has already taken a few road trips to visit other casts, hosted multiple theme nights, hosted a benefit for local fire relief assistance as well as being the featured performers at the largest Halloween party in the Tri-State area and co-sponsoring both a World AIDS Day candlelight walk and hosting the "We Are Rocky" Rockypalooza in May of 2007.

DownHome Decadence will be continuing our tradition of recreating the Rocky Horror Picture Show wheel with many more theme nights coming in the near future.
