Week after week, closet lunatics from all walks of life gather together for a strange and rather decadent ritual - The Rocky Horror Picture Show ("RHPS") featuring stage performances by live cast Indecent Exposure. After fifteen years at the UC Theatre, this varied collection of degenerate exhibitionists have entertain audiences all over. They've played shows at Petaluma's Phoenix Theatre, The Dream Theatre in Monterey and San Francisco's Strand, as well as Diablo Valley and Sonoma State Colleges. In 1990, Indecent Exposure was invited by RHPS movie producer, Lou Adler, to perform for the film's 15th Anniversary Celebration in Los Angeles, held on a soundstage on the 20th Century Fox movie lot. This gala event hosted a score of celebrities, as well as the stars from the RHPS movie and over 2,000 other audience members. The cast was filmed by Entertainment Television and MTV's The Big Picture, several scenes which appear in the RHPS home video. Needless to say the whole experience was a big rhinestone in Indecent Exposure's tiara, but it is not the only one.
The cast has performed benefit shows for AIDS research and the earthquake Relief Fund. During the Golden Gate Bridge's 50th Anniversary they marched across in full costume and makeup. They've also received a variety of other media coverage from the Contra Costa West County Times, San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner's Image Magazine & Pink Section, The Oakland Tribune, USA Today, Seattle Times, Daily Cal and Channels 4 & 7 News. Most recently Indecent Exposure was filmed drinking beer and discussing sexual fantasies involving baby oil on TV20's Late Nite with James Gabbert. Indecent Exposure's 15 yr. existence has been glorious and exciting as is soon coming to a close. The cast has announced that on October 28, 1995, they'll be hanging up the fishnets and tailcoats for good, marking the end of the world's longest running RHPS cast and a long time Berkeley tradition.
